Fluoride applications and fissure sealants (tooth coloured sealants) are applied to biting surfaces of children's teeth to prevent decay.

We recommend that you bring your child as soon as the first teeth have come through.By doing this, we make sure that the child gets used to the environment and most of our child patients actually look forward to their visits, which we try to make fun and educational. We will also give the parent information on how to look after your child’s teeth.

Common questions are:

  • Which toothbrush should be used?
  • Which is the best toothpaste?
  • My child has uneven teeth?
  • My child still sucks his/her thumb?
  • What are sealants and how do they give extra protection?
  • My child gets bad breath?
  • My child’s teeth are ‘yellow’?
  • When can my child have a brace?
