  I do not particularly like going to the dentist although I would not describe myself as having a phobia about going.  He is efficient but also friendly which helps enormously to make a visit more pleasant.  He always comes towards me, shakes my hand and we are on first name terms.  He is chatty and sometimes jokey, making an effort to put me at my ease.  He is also skilled at his job, is very careful and I always have full confidence in what he is doing.  In particular, his injections do not hurt.  I am not sure how they work but they do! .

when he took over the practice and I have always found the premises clean, light and well maintained. 


 It is my option that there are not enough people of Dr Zaman’s calibre in
many of the welfare services now on offer in this country. 


 I’ve always had a fear of dentists.  Unfortunately my mother took me only when my teeth were hurting.  That was in the 50s- very primitive dentistry!

As an adult, my experience hasn’t been much better- even to the point of being struck off a dentist’s list.  I was too scared to go in to the surgery.

In Bristol, if I had to have a tooth out, I was sent to the anaesthetic clinic to have it done under a general anaesthetic.

THEN…

I became Mr Zaman’s patient.  He has worked very hard at putting me at ease, and I even had a tooth removed under a local anaesthetic- something which I never believed I would be relaxed enough to allow to happen.

Mr Zaman has been a wonderful dentist and I have, for the first time in my life, complete confidence in a dentist.  He listens to me and responds in a way that puts me at ease and I never have any fear when I go to him- that’s a first in 54 years.
