  I have been going to the dental practice on the High Street since I was a child and remained a patient there when Dr Zaman took over some 13 years ago.  I always go at least twice a year, more often if I have a problem with tartar.  I have always found the atmosphere at the practice to be professional but also friendly and comfortable.  He goes to great lengths to put his patients at ease and appears to get on well with his staff.  He has a gentle manner and when I have discussed my health problems with him, he has always been sympathetic, understanding and genuinely concerned for me.

I have the misfortune to have had an intimate knowledge of the medical professional and various hospitals in this region spanning more than three decades, and currently receive treatment for a number of health problems.  I cannot say that my trust in the medical profession in general is high.  However, my confidence and trust in Dr Zaman’s ability as a dentist is absolute.  I would trust him to do his utmost for me and use his knowledge and expertise to my benefit should the need arise.


  My daughter once got very tearful but because Dr Zaman was so calm with her by the time she left she was find and came more happily the next time.

Dr Zaman is very good at explaining to me what he is going to do, so I know exactly what is going to happen which also makes things easier for me.  He is also clearly genuinely interested in dentistry and wants to be able to give me the best set of teeth possible.

I have had loads of trouble with my teeth and Dr Zaman has called me at home to check that I am all right after treatment.



 I work part time with my husband at the family business.

I have been a patient of Dr Zaman’s for about 7 years.  I joined the practice as I had heard good things about him and the practice is near where I live.

I am a very nervous patient.  I had a band experience at the dentist as a child.  I did not go for many years as a result.  I moved to the area about 11 years ago.  I registered at the same practice as my husband and saw his dentist but I did not go again for a while as he was not at all patient with me about the fact that I was nervous and made me cry.  I also did not think his dental work was particularly good.  I have always found going to the dentist to be very painful and I really, really hate the whole experience.  I used to become very anxious, panicky and shaky.

When I first went to see Dr Zaman, I explained to him that I was a very nervous patient.  He was so quiet and calm he put me at east instantly.  I needed treatment urgently by then and when he injected me I did not feel a thing.  I found him to be a very nice, pleasant and genuine man.  Since then I have been able to have root fillings, crowns and veneers put on.  I used to see him every 3 months as my teeth were very soft and discolour easily.  Initially I needed someone to hold my hand during treatment but can now manage without this support.  This is entirely down to him and the way in which he has helped me deal with my concerns for which I am very grateful..


 When I was a child I had a bad experience at the dentist.  I had to have 3 fillings, in different parts of my mouth, and the dentist did them all at the same consultation.  I had to have several injections and my mouth was not numbed properly before he started drilling.  I was crying my eyes out.  Since then I have had a phobia about needles and I did not go to the dentist regularly for years.  If I did go, I would refuse to allow the dentist to give me any injections so he could not do much for me.  My mother then started going to see Dr Zaman and she recommended him to me.  She told me he was really nice and that it did not hurt when he gave injections.

She was right and since then I have happily gone to see him regularly.  I have not seen what he uses instead of a standard needle as he hides it from me but it just feels like a little scratch on my gum.  I have no problem with these sort of ‘needles’ at all.  He has been able as a result to do work on my teeth, including putting on veneers and a gold crown for me.

There is a very friendly atmosphere at the practice. 


  Dr Zaman is an excellent dentist and always treats you with respect and kindness.  Dr Zaman has been our dentists for many years now (since he took over the practice where we were existing patients) and can say in all honesty he is the best dentist we have ever had.
